6. The soul being without knowledge is
not good.
Dangers of lack of knowledge:
Isaiah 5:13 - Lack of knowledge can lead
a soul into captivity or bondage. It
will keep a soul in bondage. Hosea 4:6 -
Soul can be destroyed. What does
knowledge of the soul do ?
Proverbs 24:4 - And by knowledge shall
the chambers be filled with all precious
and pleasant riches.
Proverbs 24: 5 - A man of knowledge
increaseth strength.
Proverbs 24:14 - Reveals that knowledge
of wisdom unto thy soul: gets us a
reward, and ensures that our expectation
shall not be cut off.
Proverbs 20:23
Divers weights are an abomination unto
the Lord; and a false balance is not
good.
7. Deceiving or
defrauding or cheating others is not
good.
Today we should be very careful not to
walk according to the ways of the world.
For them deceiving others is a way of
life. They don’t consider it as wrong.
After all everyone cheats. Some exclaim
" This man does not know how to live.
Very soon he will close his business. If
you have to come up how can you afford
to be honest. But God’s word is very
clear. Deceiving or cheating others is
not good and it will bring only a curse
upon us and remove the blessing
Proverbs 24:23
These things also belong to the wise. It
is not good to have respect of persons
in judgment.
Dealing with partiality in our day to
day affairs is not good. God expects us
to be just and fair in all our dealings.
Just because we like somebody or
somebody is close to us does not mean
that we should show partiality. Our God
is a just God who has no favorites. All
are equal in his sight . How dangerous
it would be if God also started having
favorites who he treats specially.
Peter says in Acts 10:34 Then Peter
opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I
perceive that God is no respecter of
persons:
Proverbs 25:27
8. It is not good
to eat much honey: so for men to search
their own glory is not glory.
Like eating too much honey is not good,
so is the seeking of one's own glory not
good for the man who seeks for it .
(God’s Word translation) Eating too much
honey is not good, and searching for
honor is not honorable. Today many think
that they have to seek for honor. They
adopt different methods to promote
themselves resulting sometimes in
strife, anger, hatred, jealousy. The
word very clearly reveals that searching
for honor is not good.
